bland and dissapointing

The modifications are awful. There are only 4 types of cars and they look like they have been made out of cardoard. The graphics are o.k. but very bland and simple. The a.i. is ridiculas. Say you played a 20 lap race. There are 15 opponents, but in the next few moments they've all blown up and your the ownly one left racing. Though there SOME good points to this game.
The damage is probably the most realistic you can get, with oil leaks, smashed panels, piles of debris everywhere you look, and your paint disappears aswell untill you look like a twisted steel furnis. Wild twisted tracks and some enjoyable game types keep you playing for a bit but once youve worn it down there's nothing left of the game, esspesialy since threre's no option for multiplayer races.Overall this game just does not compete with other racing titles at all. So if your a practical racing fan then steer clear of this one.

Fun Fun Fun with 3 capital F's

This is one of the most fun games I have ever played!

Not the best graphics, limited tracks and crap music and even crapper announcer. Fortunatly you can turn off the music and announcer and listen to the cool engine sounds.

What we are left with is a racing game with the most game types ever and the best of the bunch is Kamakazie which is a riot. This game is all about avoiding everyone elses wreckage to win the race. You get to modify your car and paint it any colour you wish and then add decals and body kit items etc. Brilliant fun and many a gaudy car to be seen. This game may not be for those who take gaming a bit to seriously, personally I play to have a laugh and this game makes me laugh until I hurt.

If you have Live then buy this game now... it still has a good number of die hard fans playing it every evening. This is the most fun racer ever, I should know because I have all of them.

I like it!!!

Ok I may be in a minority by writing this but i actually like this game. It's not in the same league as burnout 3 or Project gotham racing 2 but i think it is an enjoyable, fun game. I do agree that the graphics are not impressive but they don't make a game alone! I particularly like the Kamakaze mode where 8 car start a race clockwise and the other 8 start anticlockwise and the first to 4 laps wins! A great idea i've never seen before.

Great fun...

I was quite suprised by the first two reviews here for this game, they were both very negative. I found this game a hell of a lot of fun, and kept playing most days until I had finished most of it.

The action is very intense and pure, no race is ever boring and there's plenty of game modes and tracks to keep you interested.
I'd say the graphics are pretty good considering how much action is going on on the screen at any one time. You can have as many as 16 cars all smashing to pieces before your eyes along with oil slicks and debris, and the framerate remains respectable throughout.

The game physics in general is also good. You can get realistic pile ups of cars which drive over bumps in the track / ramps etc. There is one very annoying aspect of the car physics though and that is that you tend to get stuck to cars when you've hit them and are trying to drive away. This does get very frustrating at times, but you can learn to avoid those kinds of situations with a bit of practice.

The racing AI is also pretty good for the most part, but occasionally some of the drivers behave really stupidly and just drive into objects without even trying to avoid them.

Overall I'd say this was a very good game, not perfect by any means, but well worth a blast. There will be inevitable comparisons with the burnout games, but I personally enjoyed this game a lot more than Burnout 3 even though that is meant to be the 'daddy'. I've not even tried 'live' games with this yet, I'm expecting them to be even more fun.

The AI cars are brain dead

If there was a Hall of Fame for all time bad racers Crash N'Burn would make the top 10 with ease.

The AI cars are brain dead, the collision detection very suspect and the audio is abysmal. The cars don't exactly convince the eye that they are lumps of metal smashing into each other, all they do is convince the eye that they are lo quality computer graphics.
